What is creativity?

different definitions of creativity:

Ability to produce something new through imaginative skill, whether a new solution to a problem, a new method or device, or a new artistic object or form. The term generally refers to a richness of ideas and originality of thinking. Psychological studies of highly creative people have shown that many have a strong interest in apparent disorder, contradiction, and imbalance, which seem to be perceived as challenges. Such individuals may possess an exceptionally deep, broad, and flexible awareness of themselves. Studies also show that intelligence has little correlation with creativity; thus, a highly intelligent person may not be very creative.

Creativity is the ability to think up and design new inventions, produce works of art, solve problems in new ways, or develop an idea based on an original, novel, or unconventional approach.

In the class we looked at different ways in which we thought some-one was creative, here are some of the things we came up with:

-not being boring

-using art subjects such as: art, media, photography, drama, music to express yourself

-turning new and imaginative ideas into reality

-unique and different

-creativity can be passed on

-the way you think

-creativity is based on thr way your brought up and the enviroment around you

-process you use to get end product

-doesnt have to be original

-personal

at the end of the lesson we all created our own definitions of creativity, heres mine:

Creativity:

A personal way in how you use your imagination and the enviroment around you to make a process fitted to your personality, with the help of ethics, morals, and the society we live in.
