This is the opening 2 minutes of my favorite film analysed.

00:10

Shows a panning shot of the ocean
obviously all the visuals are animated
you are then drawn to a few views admiring the view of the ocean as the panning comes to a stop at a sea anemone gently floating in the flowing water
the women's voice then says something about the ocean view being beautiful and you can see two orange fish poking their heads out of the anemone
a mans voice is heard saying something along the lines of "well coral when you said you wanted an ocean view you never thought you were gonna get the whole ocean did you?" the mans voice sounds excited so immediately the audience are feeling happy for the fish
the non-diagetic music is very ocean like and you can hear the diagetic sounds of the waves lapping
the colours are very bright which will attract young children which this film I'm guessing is mostly aimed for

00:20

when he says "the whole ocean did you?" the music changes to a more upbeat little piccolo trill to mimic the emotions of the characters
the man fish then swims forward making a breathing gesture as he says "i mean look at this space! a fish can breathe out here!" which is quite funny because its like a conversation between a real married couple about a house.
as the fish (Marlon) is talking the shot changes to a long shot with Marlon in the for-ground and the women fish (Coral) still poking out of the anemone
also as the fish are swimming the diagetic sound of them passing through water is heard, and the ocean and anemone is swaying side to side constantly
Coral is a slightly lighter colour orange than Marlon

00:30

it then turns to a tracking shot of Marlon swimming back towards Coral in the anemone
they exchange normal human conversation such as:
"M: its wasn't so easy
C: because a lot of other clown-fish had there eye on this place."
Coral then takes Marlon's hand leading him out of the anemone and swimming upwards, all the while the camera tracking them

00:40

she then turns to say the neighbour hood is "awesome"
the shot then switches to a shot of what appears to be a happy healthy neighbour hood full of laughing fish and bright colorful houses and surroundings
the sound of diagetic laughter from the children fish can be heard
the music changes when the shot switches over to something more welcoming and family friendly
it then turns into a panning shot of the neighbour hood showing children playing and having fun, and almost educating th audience about how different types of fish live
it then switches quickly back to a two person shot of Marlon and Coral

00:50

its then some dialogue between the two characters for most of the ten seconds before a tracking shot of them swimming back down towards the house and then switching to a long shot so the audience can actually see how big the "drop off" really is compared to the two little clown-fish

1:00

Coral then says something like "but do we really need so much space?" (still long shot)
it then switches to an over the shoulder shot looking at Marlon, keeping their new house in the view of the frame
much more gentle music is playing as he is trying to convince her this is the best place to live

1:10

tracking shot of Marlon entering the anemone showing examples of what the kids would be acting like and how exciting it would be
cuts to over the shoulder shot of Marlon looking at Coral laughing at Marlon's impressions music crescendos and gets louder as he acts all excited about seeing a whale
then goes into a two person shot, music gets lighter and more twinkly as Coral says "shhh your gonna wake the kids"
it then goes to a tracking shot of them swimming downwards

1:20

continues with tracking shot of them swimming down till they come to a hole
cuts to a full body shot of the fish looking down almost directly into the camera gives off a hint of POV from whatever their looking at
the music is really soft and gentle as Coral says "aww look their dreaming"
as she says "aww look" the camera moves to where she is meaning and there is hundreds of little eggs with baby unhatched fish in them
the fish are moving as if their swimming in their dreams
switches to a long shot letting the audience see how many eggs there are compared to Marlon and Coral

1:30

it them switches to the two person shot again where they talk about naming their children saying "we'll name this half Marlon junior, and this half Coral junior"
Marlon then disappears out of shot swimming up
Coral then says a very important line to the film saying "i like Nemo"

1:40

Marlon then swims back into shot saying "Nemo?well we'll name one Nemo but i'd like most of them to be Marlon junior"
more dialogue is then exchanged between the two saying that they cant wait to be parents
the music is still calm and relaxing making the audience feel at ease when watching the sequence

1:50

they then swim out of shot
switches to a long shot of them swimming back upwards towards their home with Coral saying "there's over 400 eggs, odds are one of them is bound to like you"
she then disappears into the anemone
it then switches to a shot of inside the anemone looking at the swaying tentacles
Marlon then pops his head through the anemone
diagetic sounds of the anemone moving aside for him to get through
POV shot of Marlon looking at Coral

2:00

shot reverse shot of Marlon and Coral talking about how they met
Marlon then swims fast into the anemone chasing Coral
two person shot of them chasing each other round the house
music stops when they start chasing each other
